چکیده

The molecular photophysics of 10-phenyl-10 H ,10? -spiro[acridine-9,9?-anthracen]-10?-one (ACRSA) are used as an ideal molecule to probe how external factors affect the TADF and rISC mechanisms.

Revealing the spin–vibronic coupling mechanism of thermally activated delayed fluorescence

Knowing the underlying photophysics of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) allows proper design of high efficiency organic light-emitting diodes. We have proposed a model to describe reverse intersystem crossing (rISC) in donor-acceptor charge transfer molecules, where spin-orbit coupling between singlet and triplet states is mediated by one of the local triplet states of the donor ...

Nonadiabatic coupling reduces the activation energy in thermally activated delayed fluorescence.

The temperature dependent rate of a thermally activated process is given by the Arrhenius equation. The exponential decrease in the rate with activation energy, which this imposes, strongly promotes processes with small activation barriers. This criterion is one of the most challenging during the design of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters used in organic light emitting d...

Photophysics of thermally activated delayed fluorescence molecules.

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) has recently emerged as one of the most attractive methods for harvesting triplet states in metal-free organic materials for application in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). A large number of TADF molecules have been reported in the literature with the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of OLEDs by converting non-emissive triplet states into...

Ultrafast Photoinduced Electron Transfer in Spiro-type Donor- Acceptor Systems

Perpendicular orientation of the electron donor in relation to the acceptor in the ground state seems to contribute significantly to high rate constants of the photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer (PET) in electron donor-acceptor (DA) type molecules [1]. A very interesting class of molecules in this respect are systems build around a spiro-type carbon atom, separating mutually orthogon...

D–A–D-type orange-light emitting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials based on a fluorenone unit: simulation, photoluminescence and electroluminescence studies

The design of orange-light emitting, thermally activated, delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials is necessary and important for the development and application of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Herein, two donor–acceptor–donor (D–A–D)-type orange TADF materials based on fluorenone and acridine, namely 2,7-bis(9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)-9H-fluoren-9-one (27DACRFT, 1) and 3,6-bis(9,9-d...
